A Royal Treat at Queenies

As I'm home from university for the weekend, I took a trip down to Ironbridge for coffee and a cupcake at Queenies. Queenies is a little tearoom with great decor and a lovely atmosphere.

There are so many choices of flavour for cupcakes, from Turkish delight to Jaffa cake, I didn't know which to go for! Eventually I chose a speciality pink champagne cake which was absolutely delicious! Not only do the cakes taste good but they look scrumptious too and are iced to perfection.

You can take the cakes away but the tearoom is decorated so lovely, with quirky furniture and great service. It is obvious that a lot of effort and passion has gone into making Queenies what it is.

I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Queenies if you're ever in Shropshire. Unfortunately the shop is closing soon but the cakes will still be stocked. I'll be back again before Queenies closes to try another of the many flavours!
